Speech and Language Therapy Assistant

We are looking to recruit a speech and language therapy assistant to join our enthusiastic team of therapists and assistants providing a service to people with learning disabilities in Richmond and Kingston.
This is a full time permanent post with the Neurodevelopmental Team based in Surbiton.
This highly valued post will support the role of the speech and language therapy service for adults with learning disabilities by designing and making resources for therapists, service users and training, and in general office administrative duties crucial to the effectiveness of this busy vibrant team.
The post holder will be responsible for weekly onsite supervision of our two office assistants who both have learning disabilities and some support needs. You will also have opportunities to work alongside the speech and language therapists delivering individual sessions and groups to develop and facilitate communication skills. In order to be successful you will need to be able to work with initiative and creativity and will be significant contributors to the effectiveness of the speech and language therapy service. Please note this post is not suitable for qualified speech and language therapists.
