Audit Senior/Asst Managers for Manchester with international travel Full Time

Audit Seniors in a well established, major and sizeable accountancy firm based in the driving Northern Powerhouse city of Manchester and with some possible international travel. Qualified Accountant ACA, CA or ACCA with an excellent starting basic salary of c£36-40K + full benefits package including paid overtime, discretionary bonus giving potential remuneration of c£38-42K+

About the Role

You will be based in the heart of the Manchester & North West regional economy with easy access to clients, getting exposure to superb blue chip multinationals and superb UK companies. As Audit Senior / Assistant Manager you will be part of a team responsible for carrying out risk based audits primarily under UK GAAP and IAS (full training will be given where necessary in these areas).

Your Key accountabilities as Audit senior / Assistant manager will be

• Leading a team of part-qualified accountants
• Planning and preparation of client audits
• Managing the audit on-site on a daily basis including review of work carried out by other team members

Some international travel may be included in this role and would account for between 5-10% of your overall time as most work will be based within Manchester & North West region

In addition, you may gain secondments to work in some of these blue chip, top tier clients

Requirements :
To be considered for the position of Audit senior / Assistant manager you will be:

• Recently qualified with an internationally recognised accountancy qualification including ACA, CA, ACCA Qualified Accountant – or 2017 finalist
• Currently working as an Audit Senior or Audit & Accounts Senior in UK accountancy practice (or a UK auditor who is been working overseas for perhaps 1-2 years & looking to return to the UK) some or regular audit experience

Experience /- exposure to some of the client sectors is ideal but not essential as full training in the sectors will be given where necessary

• IAS experience is welcome but not essential
• Strong interpersonal and team skills

You will be qualified or exam qualified and looking to gain specific experience to direct your career in a particular direction, or you may want a Big name on your CV whilst developing your client exposure and technical knowledge prior to deciding your ultimate aim. You will be working either in a large or medium-sized practice or maybe consisting of around 2-4+ partners (ideally where you are working on audits as part of your daily role although training will be given for those with non-audit to carry out initial audit duties progressing through to running audits as soon as you can demonstrate ability & are comfortable to do so) as this firm is seriously interested to meet talent from a range of different-sized firms as it has proved a successful venture previously.
