This FTSE travel business is moving its offices to Farnborough, directly next to the main train station with links into Central London. The Internal Audit team reflects these values and act as business consultants to the entire Global business. With a small team of Internal Audit Manager, IT auditor, and this Group Internal Auditor position, each member is highly visible and exposed to key stakeholders and senior management; a fantastic opportunity to learn ample amounts about the business and how it operates. As a result, movement into the wider business following time in the Internal Audit team is highly achievable and encouraged, so that you can share your business knowledge and in-depth understanding.
The role is a mix of financial controls audits, and operational/ business risk audits; one day you will be talking to a Head of Finance, and the other, a key business partner from HR or procurement.
The company is moving their offices to Farnborough, and will be located right next to the station. This is 45 minutes from Waterloo Station. The travel is at around 20% to North America, Asia-Pac, and Europe. 2 weeks is the maximum amount of time on an International audit.
The candidate must have strong financial controls and audit experience, and must have knowledge of IFRS. They should have an ACA or ACCA. They will have strong communication skills and the gravitas to liaise with senior management autonomously. Commercial awareness, problem solving, and decision making are key criteria for the successful candidate.
