Audit Yorkshire provides internal audit, anti-crime services and associated services to organisations across Yorkshire. We are an award winning, forward looking team, providing valuable assurance and advisory services to our members and clients.
We have invested extensively in technology, utilise the latest approaches in our work and are committed to staff training and development in order to be the best we can be.
We now have an exciting opportunity to employ a trainee anti-crime specialist and are looking for an ambitious professional to play a key part in our experienced and enthusiastic Anti-Crime Team.
The main duties of the role include:
• Performing proactive and reactive counter fraud and security management work
• Assist the Anti-Crime team with investigations into financial crime using a range of investigative techniques.
• Delivery and development of anti-crime culture work, including presentations and crime awareness campaigns.
• Building strong working relationships with the clients, ensuring all queries and referrals are dealt with promptly and properly.
• Preparation and presentation of reports to clients’ Audit Committees
• Identifying opportunities and prospects for innovation in the prevention and detection of crime in the NHS.

To be considered for these posts you will have to be eligible to undertake and complete the security management specialist and local counter fraud specialist training within the next 12-months, or be in possession of one of these qualifications. Ideally the candidate will have some counter fraud or security management background, preferably within the public sector.
Position is to become permanent upon successful completion of qualifications and meeting the laid down competencies.
The job base is to be determined (York or Dewsbury) but travel will be required across all client sites.

DBS Checks
Please be aware that all new employees starting work with us will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if it is required for the role. The cost will be deducted from your salary either in 1 payment or over a six month period once you start employment. By applying you are agreeing to this undertaking. If you are successful you will be asked to confirm if you wish to pay in one amount or in instalments. The charges are currently £30.20 for a standard check and £48.20 for an enhanced check. The level of check will be determined by the post you are applying for.
