Salary: £22,533 – £25,247 per annum (appointment is usually made on the first point of the scale)
You will be responsible for the assessment of SVQ Social Services and Healthcare candidates, adhering to the SQA Assessment Strategy and Edinburgh College’s quality standards and procedures. Carrying out regular visits, you will develop and maintain effective relationships with candidates from diverse backgrounds and provide monthly reports on their progress. You will maintain accurate records and provide timely feedback using College procedures and technology, meeting deadlines as required.
You must have previous experience of working with candidates in a Care and/or Health- environment and have a proven track record in the assessment and delivery of SVQ in the workplace. You will be an experienced care practitioner with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines with little supervision. You will be pro-active, flexible, and be committed to CPD and the success of our students. A qualification in a Care and Health-related discipline at minimum of HNC and / or SVQ level 3 and an A1/Land D assessor award are essential. You must hold a full, clean, British driving license.
The successful candidate may be required to work at any Edinburgh College campus.
