Key Skills Required:
Educated to a recognised Degree / Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science/Networking
MS Azure, Disaster Recovery, VMware and VCloud environment.
Professional qualifications including Citrix CCA, VMware Certified Professional VCP5, MCSE and Prince2 Foundation and Practitioner
Five years relevant experience in a busy IT customer service, network management or help-desk environment.
Working and trouble-shooting knowledge of Citrix XenApp, VMware, HyperV, Microsoft Windows 2003/2008/2012 servers, Active Directory, DNS, Exchange server 2010 and standard Microsoft applications (Office 2007 and 2010) with experience in managing a busy office environment.
Proven ability to manage large networks and perform network administration.Ability to establish and maintain effective communication with colleagues and staff within a service environment.
Ability to organise own workload according to set work objectives in situations of conflicting demands and priorities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To assist in the development of client’s IT systems, policies , and procedures.
To assess new software/systems and make recommendations.
To monitor and report on security breaches and implement client’s IT security and system controls.
To assess client’s IT training needs and provide training/support to staff in standard software and in-house written application programs.
To manage and implement IT projects within agreed timescales .
To ensure systems back-ups and audits are managed in accordance with client’s IT policy.
To liaise with IT contractors & Solution Providers.
To assist in sourcing of new hardware & software.
To maximize the operational availability of all IT systems through proactive monitoring.
To manage client’s backup strategy and secure data integrity.
To assist and provide technical support for client’s web site development.
To manage client’s telecommunication needs providing user support for installation and setting up of telephone systems.
