Aberdeenshire Council are seeking an individual with the skills and ambition to l ead the delivery and management of our Fleet, Internal Transport and Vehicle Maintenance Service s. Working within the award winning Transportation Service the successful candidate will fill a key role in ensuring our front line services such as road maintenance, waste, housing, passenger transport and building maintenance continue to meet the needs of our customers. Working corporately and with partners, they will develop our overall strategic approach to fleet within the context of reducing our carbon footprint and seeking budget efficiencies whilst also provid ing professional advice and guidance in relation to the specialist fleet remit throughout Aberdeenshire .
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
It is Aberdeenshire Council’s procedure that applicants for vacancies of this nature require to attend an assessment centre as well as interview. Interviews will be held on 29th September and Assessment centre W/C 25th September.
