Overseas Nanny Full Time

Switzerland (Near Lugano & Lake Como) with travel Start Date: ASAP (September/October) Working Days: 5 days per week 12 hours per day, time off in the day (including 2 weekends per month) Children: Girls aged 5 ½ years and 8 years old Salary: £600- £800 per week net dep of experience/qualifications Looking for a lovely flexible nanny to work within a busy household, providing support to a single stay at home mother with her two daughters aged 5 1/2 years and 8 years old. It is essential that the nanny is proactive and helps with all aspects of the children’s day, however a daily housekeeper is also employed and manages the majority of housework & nursery duties. The nanny typically takes charge of the children’s belongings & ironing, cooking their meals (although mum often does all the cooking), taking the children to & from school (driver essential) and picking up the odd groceries, as well as looking after the family’s 3 dogs (mid-size and very friendly!). The Girls both attend different schools and so the nanny will need to be organised to structure school runs and after school activities.

A Driver is essential for this role, and either automatic or manual cars are available for the nanny’s use. The Mother would love a nanny who can be flexible and will help with occasional weekends, perhaps once or twice a month (particularly when travelling to the mountain home). A nanny who can introduce German language to the household would be a bonus. The family live in the Italian part of the Switzerland (close to Lugano, Lake Como and Milan) and have a spacious house and gardens for the children to play in.

They also have a house in the Mountains and on the beach in Italy, and travel fairly often particularly on Weekends and over school holidays. The family have 3 dogs in the household and so the nanny must be happy to be around the dogs, help feed and walk them. The family have had a lovely male nanny working for them for a couple of years who has been very happy there and recommends the role highly! They are keen to find another long term nanny, ideally for the next 2 years.

The accommodation is a self-contained studio flat within the family’s home, and consists of a bedroom, bathroom, lounge & kitchenette. Driver essential travel involved shared care – working in a team with single mother must be dog lover
