Working Patterns: 37.5 hours per week
We require a rotational pharmacy assistant to work in our busy dispensary providing in-patient dispensing services to Royal Sussex County Hospital ward patients, Royal Alexandra Hospital for children and other patients within the trust.
Duties within the dispensary include:
• Labeling and dispensing of medicines including blister packs
• Reception duties
Duties within receipt and distribution include:
• Receipt and storage including expiry date checks
• Replenishment of ward stock
• Delivering medicines to wards when needed
You will also take part in dispensary based activities on a weekend as required.

The criteria and terms are set out below;
• If you do not fulfil the essential qualification/skills listed on the job description and specification, you could be offered a Training Contract for 12-24 months, this is dependent on the vacancy and subject to terms and conditions.
• The pay banding will be set at the band below the advertised post. For internal or current NHS employees you will remain on your current banding, this only applies for those currently on Bands 1-4.
• On successful completion of your training and subject to sign off by your manager / mentor you will automatically transition to the substantive banding which the vacancy was originally advertised at.
• Posts in the Trust are subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Criminal Records Bureau to check for any previous criminal spent and unspent convictions, reprimands, and cautions.
