As Information Governance Assurance Officer, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team that has responsibility for a number of service areas, including; the Wales Accord on the Sharing of Personal Information (WASPI), further development of the Welsh Information Governance (IG) Toolkit for use by primary and secondary care providers, the further implementation of the National Intelligent Integrated Audit Solution (NIIAS) and providing IG support functions to primary care services.
By acting as the first point of contact for enquires and providing assistance and advice as required, the post holder will be responsible for providing comprehensive and effective administrative support for one or more of the above services.
The post holder will also support the Information Governance team as it provides input into local and national products. Expected duties will include arranging meetings, taking notes and organising and drafting associated papers.
The role would suit an individual looking to develop professional knowledge and skills, as it is expected there will be the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and professional qualifications if desired.
The post holder will be a member of the Information Governance team based within the Clinical Directorate of the NHS Wales Informatics Service (NWIS).
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
