A new state-of-the-art hospital has opened in Whitehaven, representing the single biggest investment in healthcare in west Cumbria for over 50 years. This is a really important milestone for our organisation which will allow us to further expand our range of local services as we continue to improve safety and quality.
The Trust provides a comprehensive range of general acute hospital services; we are currently working with the Commissioners to help develop a comprehensive service for the whole of Cumbria, which will work cooperatively with other providers in the area.
Based at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, we are seeking to recruit a Clerical Officer, for a fixed term period until 31st March 2018, however, if the post becomes permanent, and there are no issues with performance, then the postholder will be offered the post.
You will be required to provide administrative support to the Head of Programme Management Office (PMO), in the organisation of the PMO and to provide administrative support to the PMO in the delivery of agreed projects. This includes organising meetings, diary management, typing letters and reports, filing, general office duties and reacting to the needs of the department administratively as they occur.
This role will involve some cross site working and attendance at meetings at both the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle and West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven.
Applicants will possess GCSE Grade C or above in English Language or equivalent and be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Project and Outlook particularly). You will also have administrative/secretarial experience.
