Architectural Technician Full Time

Architectural Technician w/ BIM | Central London | £40,000 – £50,000

Blayze Group are working exclusively with a studio in Central London who are looking for experienced Architectural Technicians with knowledge of BIM Level 2 to join their studio. You will be joining a studio assisting with the Technical Design stages and occasionally manage operations from site (site experience non-essential). As an experienced Technician, you will have an eye for detail and over 5 years’ experience working in a UK studio on large projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys an office with social hours (actually finishing in the afternoon), who enjoys the Technical/Delivery stages of a project and who can collaborate well with both Internal and External stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this position, you will:

• Collaborate with Senior Architects on UK Residential projects
• Develop Revit models to BIM Level 2 standards
• Prepare drawing packages within a team of technicians and technologists
• Develop planning, design, and construction drawings
• Visit projects on site
• Work thoroughly across RIBA stages 3-6
• Liaise with contractors, clients and other external stakeholders

RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

The following requirements are essential to this position:

• At least 5 years UK studio experience working on large projects
• Strong detail, design and construction package knowledge
• Have knowledge of all RIBA work stages
• Knowledge of BIM to Level 2
• Relevant software knowledge with a thorough understanding of Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD
• Samples of work that communicates your experience of the above
• Degree or equivalent experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

The following experience is non-essential but will be advantageous to the role:

• Site based experience
• Master’s degree or above
• MCIAT or CIAT member
